Friday, February 5, 2016 - Wow, this wine is still REALLY locked up. Was finally expressing itself somewhat after a couple of hours. Cork with zero bleed, and a dark raspberry colored stain on the cork. Nose is classic Oakville and blackberry combined with black pepper and baking spice. The entry is all blackberry, dense, baking spice dominates the middle. Oak barrel finish. Still kind of short finish, killed prematurely by the oak, but to be expected for such a REALLY young wine. Hold this one -- still has quite a bit of life left.
