Saturday, October 10, 2009 - Tasted at Emeril's Delmonico at Venetian, Las Vegas. Opaque dark color. Great nose that opened up in the glass. Mocha, chocolate, cherry, raspberry, plum and some good oak. Not as full on the palate and it did not have the concentration I would have expected from explosive nose. Jammy fruit, some earth, cherry, raspberry and chocolate. Tannins were fine and not too full. I got the sense this will have a short arc. Finish was only okay with a nip of heat.
