Tuesday, May 24, 2011 - Great wine. Dark violet and dark garnet. Scorched earth and smoked black fruit with dark cherry sticking out. Some cedar, cinnamon and oak, even at 7 years out. Left a couple glasses in the bottle with some inert wine gas. The next day, everything was just dark fruit and heat. I am glad I drank this last bottle because it has peaked. Watch out for serious sediment and my last bottle had 3 large oak shavings in the bottle.
