Friday, April 16, 2021 - Cork, 13% alc. Vibrant, dark red-purple.
Semi savoury nose of dark cherry, blueberry, charcuterie, sweet tobacco, bitumen, anise and pencil shavings. There’s a slight medicinal note in the background, however it blows off and I’m not convinced that it’s Brett.
Quite a lot of sandy tannins and lots of acidity are the features of the fresh palate, which is linear, controlled, and reasonably long.
Opinion: Youthful, and in need of a good decant. Try again in 5 years.
