Thursday, November 1, 2018 - The past few 2010 H-N's I've opened had a subtle but very noticeable tanginess to them. This was no exception, although subdued and it mostly blew off after an hour. At the far end of the red berry fruit spectrum -- very silky, classy wine without any rough edges. Have yet to have a shut-down 2010 H-N. Very nice bottle. And yes, the cork was almost fully saturated although not full-on seeping.

    11/19/2018 1:52:00 PM - There's plenty of material/structure here to last for the long haul -- what you'd expect from a 2010 CV. I personally would drink soon, as the bottles I've opened are drinking well, and the fruit and silky texture are both quite appealing now. Also, I'm risk averse on seepage and have no idea if it's just an over-filling issue at H-N in this vintage, or something that will impact these wines over time.
