Sunday, January 2, 2022 - A first check in on this wine. Decanted for a couple of hours. Medium body with a little fading at the rim. Very strong legs. At the start it’s all violets on the nose, but with time in the glass the fruit starts to come to the fore with mainly darker cherries. Plenty of crunchy cherry fruit on the palate, decent acidity and some fine tannins still hanging around. Decent length. It feels in its early window, it’s certainly approachable now but I would hope for some more complexity to develop to prove its status so will check back in a few more years. Heavy bottle
