Friday, August 12, 2022 - Been quite awhile since I tried one of these. It is delicious, but really still a baby. Still really mostly primary with gobs of ripe black fruits, blackberries, blueberries, marion berries; just a hint of minerality and really minimal if any smoke or meat. There are some floral notes that come with air. The palate is dense and packed, but well balanced with good acidity and while the tannins are still quite robust they are fine and suave. Really pretty enjoyable and should age easily another 2 decades based on this bottle.
