Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - A very pleasant surprise! Dark ruby red with a fragrant earthiness that's almost ethereal. Medium-to-full bodied on the palate with flavors of cassis, blackberry, and a hint of spice. Pairs well with braised lamb and squab. I thought it would be a let down compared to the 2004 Sixtine Reserve, but it wasn't. Drink from 2006 to 2016.
