Saturday, August 15, 2009 - Deep ruby in colour, with some bricking. Lots of syrah notes on the nose now, with peppery plums, cherries and some garrigue notes as well. Very suptle on the medium-bodied palate: this is in a great place now, with a smooth texture (helped by the glycerin), lots of gamy flavours, cherry, bitter chocolate and lavender. Great QPR, and glad I waited on this (A-). Ready now and over the short term.
