Monday, June 19, 2023 - Last bottle of 3 and this was clearly the best. This has mellowed out pretty nicely. No traces of oak (which was noted previously) and the tannins are quite mild. Still lots of racy fruit and good acidity. This no longer comes across as modern and powerful as it once did, and now pairs better with a wider variety of food. It was drinking very smoothly and with a nice mouthfeel. The complexity is modest, which is the only thing it lacks to really be great. I'm sure this would hold for 2-3 more years, but I don't see any further benefit to waiting. So I would drink up if I had any more. QPR at $70 was just solid.
