Sunday, January 22, 2012 - Extraordinary bouquet of raspberry ripple syrup and rose (hence the name no doubt) at first (which makes you wonder how they achieved it - a natural characteristic of Ruche perhaps? first time I've tried the variety so hard to say).

After the nose, the wine itself is somewhat restrained and lacking in fruit but has structure and may develop with some age.

Wine with some real idiosyncratic character if you're looking for something to stand out from the crowd. Probably more a summer / picnic / terrace wine (at least that's what it seems to be drinking like now)
