Wednesday, August 17, 2011 - A fond going away dinner (HB Home Bistro, Chicago IL): nose: very rich and ripe with big tones of new oak, anise, black cherries, black currants and dark red cherries. Good depth but also very ripe and over the top
taste: full bodied with chewy tannins and ripe tones of anise, chocolate, black cherries, black currants and a good amount of new oak. The feel is very plush and plump
overall: this really wasn't my style. It was also right at the end of the night and I didn't have that much time with it
