Sunday, June 21, 2015 - Deep dark garnet color; still purple on the rim. A fairly brambly nose, with aromas of blackberry (prominent), raspberry, hints of blueberry, black pepper and spice. Flavors are much the same with a little pomegranate. Good structure. Tannins are not totally resolved, but not so much as to not appreciate the wine. Rich and somewhat powerful in the mouth. A decent finish. Paired well with pasta and Italian meat sauce.
