90 Points

Monday, April 18, 2005 - This Chard is not particularly hefty or complex, but it makes a nice showing with overall balance and grace. The nose provides some generic but pleasant toasty oak; the attack is clean and dry; and on the palate are hazelnut, apple, and pear, backed by a strong--but not, in my view, overpowering--acidic backbone. The finish is nutty as well, albeit just a touch hot. This is great for casual sipping, given its faithfulness to the varietal and its competitive pricing ($22).
