94 Points

Tuesday, July 31, 2018 - Starts with an obvious petrol / diesel, oxidized pear, rotten violet, honey suckle nose, with a cardamom, honey dew melon, ripe nectarine, tart juicy apple, and high acidity and a little tingle on the tongue. Quickly oxidizes to cider spice, honey dew melon cotton candy with a cleansing juicy tart apple. Rich lingering texture throughout. Food parings are on the extremes. Boiled (to lose the acid) sauerkraut with fatty sausage or pork chops with lots of caraway, mustard greens with butter on the side or a high fat creamy low sugar dessert or VERY funky cheeses or truffled salami. OR just drink it on its own for dessert. I don't like the 100 point rating system because there is no standard to compare to.
