Saturday, January 26, 2019 - Perfect bottle enjoyed a Saturday afternoon. Ruby to purple, limited rim variation, some sentiment, thick legs. Nose of spice, smoke, dark fruit and lavendel. A hint of strawberry, leather, wood and wet leaves. Palate less evolved than nose but similar expression, nice minerals. Tannins starting to resolve but still quite expressed. Good balance with quite some acidity. High on alcohol expressed both on nose and palate. Hidden complexity, likely to evolve more. All in all a wonderful bottle. Its good today but will likely be even better in 3-5 years. Highly recommended!
