Saturday, March 17, 2018 - WOW, just wow! PnP and followed over several hours. This is as good as Barolo gets! Incredible floral notes plus wonderful and very fine red fruit aromas. A bit of tar. Mouthfeel is incredibly silky, great acidity. Strawberries, lavender, cherries and other red/black fruits. Tannins are extremely well integrated and very fine. Long long aftertaste. This one is still a baby, it will have decades ahead of it. It actually shut down a bit over the course of the dinner. No rush to open the next. Will even be better in the future. 2008 for me is one of the best years for Barolo and this one confirmed it once again.
