Saturday, May 17, 2008 - Kdawg's Birthday 80's Bordeaux dinner (Cotes Du Rhone, Chicago, IL): Mature. Nose of creamy red fruit, sweet milk chocolate with a slight oak and mushroom sent. Oak and earthy in the mouth with a cherries and raspberries on the palate. The wine has no hard edges and was the smoothest so far of the night. After a while in the glass it took on a moldy wet basement character that was nice. Structurally the best so far.
