Based on the earlier experience, wine was opened 12 hours and double decanted 4 hours before drinking. This did not open the wine completely, but the impressive intensity and purity stood out from the first sip. See tasting note below. This wine will be a stunner for 30+ years. The contrast with its sexy, approachable and utterly pleasant 1998 La Turque sister is striking.
