Wednesday, September 29, 2021 - Had 2 bottles over dinner with the LV crew last nite at a midtown Italian eatery (very good food, but I don't recall the name of the place on E.52).
Dark garnet color, no noticeable bricking. Pleasant nose of cherries and plums, with some violet and dust. There's still a good amount of red and black cherry fruit here, with leather and herbs. Pleasingly long and spicy finish. We popped n poured the first bottle, but decanted the 2nd--from which this wine def benefitted. Way WAY overpriced on this wine list, but very enjoyable BdM that still has some life ahead.
