Thursday, August 10, 2017 - PNP. I'm told this was from the winery owner's private cellar. The name of the wine has changed now due to a legal challenge (the bottle is almost a collector's item). Deep, dark, inky color. Jerky, cola, blackberry, pepper and beets on the nose. Rich, smooth, dry palate (nice middle of the tongue acidity) with an herbaceous (think fresh cut grass) quality. Long, mouth filling finish with firm, rounded tannins. Absolutely unique, wonderful Syrah.
