Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - EYE: very clear pale straw. NOSE: green apple slices and white flowers with wet stone. PALATE: refreshing acidity (almost feels pettilant) up front blends into the apple flavor and a slightly spicy finish (baked apple pie with baking spices). OVERALL: this wine offers an interesting juxtaposition - floral mineral nose, bright acid palate and spicy finish that reminds me of fall. Really interesting wine - and the "mixed grape" story of Gemischter Satz makes for fun conversation / education with friends.
