Thursday, August 25, 2016 - St Estephe tends to holds up well to hot vintages, I suspect due to the somewhat heavier soil. Plums, blackberry, soil, biscuit, a touch of mineral. Shows a bit of the vintage's heat, but not too alcoholic. I like this for $20. This makes me want to try the Montrose.

9/25/2016 7:07:00 PM - Will probably drink it in a few weeks...I bought some old reliable '10 Bordeaux today...Barde Haut, Fombrauge, Potensac, and some new ones...Le petit Las Cases, and Tronquoy Lalande. The Cantemerle is gone in my area.
