Saturday, July 9, 2011 - Opened an hour and decanted 15 minutes prior to drinking. Nose was complex but middle aged - Leather, some herbalness and just a hint of fruitiness of youth but hasn't yet developed the sweetness of old age. On the palate it had good weight but again it's in mid life - tannins are mainly resolved but it needs a little more time (3 years?) to fully integrate.
