Sunday, October 14, 2012 - Tasted on a couple of occasions since its release, this bottle gave the best showing to date. The aromatics show a wonderful mix of red fruits that include strawberry, cherry and cranberry that mingle with variety of spice notes. The bouquet displays detail and nuance. The color is a somewhat tarnished but youthful medium ruby. The medium bodied palate shows excellent overall balance and the youthful fruit combines nicely with the tannins and acidity on the finish. Drinking well now, this wine gives the impression it will benefit from an additional year or two of bottle age.
