Friday, March 30, 2012 - Their label says "Pacific fog drifting through the vineyard and back again to the sea each day can create wines of great focus...Fog Dance Vineyard Chardonnay displays bright aromas of rangpur lime and creamy peach. The flavors of mandarin orange and lemon meld together with a mineral driven finish."

I don't know what a rangpur lime is but I found citrus on the nose, golden straw in the glass, good body with a little glycerin leg, and a lengthy finish. On the back palate was a touch of the typical California chard petroleum but this wine was sharp, focused, and more mineral-driven than oily. The only flaw I cite is the 14.6% alcohol on the label; while there was no heat and the wine was balanced, it was a little much for two people at dinner....don't like to be too drunk. Despite the high alcohol played well with ginger-roasted haddock.
