Saturday, November 21, 2015 - Tasted at the winery. Darker fruit notes along with forest floor on the nose. Medium bodied and the acidity seemed fully in balance with the fruit, leading to a very smooth wine. Mostly darker fruit notes upfront, blending in just a bit of redfruit towards the finish. The forest floor/earthiness was especially noticeable on the finish. I was surprised by how much life this wine had left. It's fully in balance, but the fruit, while soft, rather than bright and focused, hasn't faded yet. I would drink this in the next year or so before that starts to happen.
