Black nose with deep smoke nuance. Very dumb, dark and primary. In the mouth, very liqueur-lije, hugely tannic and hugely concentrated Hints of curry spice in the textbook definition. Excellent fruit/oak balance (20% new), this is classic hermitage that is massive and slightly monolithic at the moment. All that is required is a minimum of 20 years. Great wine and completely true to its appellation.
