Friday, February 24, 2017 - More approachable than I was expecting. The nose is expressive and modern in style. Red berries, sweet dried tobacco leaves, road tar, spice. The tannin is also softer than I was expecting, especially since I pulled it straight out of bottle with my Coravin with no decant. It would warrant a higher score if the fruit on the finish wasn't slightly stewed. I still really like it.
