Wednesday, March 22, 2017 - Mesmerizing, luminous, stained glass, not quite maroon color that just draws you in. Quite floral and aromatic -- roses, lavender and peach blossom on the nose. A wine that may be swirled, chewed and slurped unveiling a sequence of nuance, complexity and conundrum. On the finish, the spice jumps up front and assaults the nose. This is a wine that lifts into the nasal passages and is less grounded in earthy notes. Sufficient tannins to suggest another decade of aging. Why did I only buy one bottle?
