Wednesday, December 26, 2012 - This deep-to-opaque crimson wine was Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing 2-3 hours. The nose is immediately expressive of black currants, coffee, clove and pickling spice. Full-bodied and round on the palate, with medium sweet tannins, well-integrated oak and well-integrated alcohol (which is listed as 14.5%). The flavors mirror the nose and the solid middle palate leads to a medium-length, smooth finish. Levendi does not simply put ordinary wine into its gorgeous bottles...the beauty is backed up by the "brains"! Drink now-12/22.
