Sunday, March 3, 2013 - How this winery remains "off the radar" I don't know, but I'm happy that it does (more for me). This particular bottling remains deep-to-opaque crimson in color and the nose remains immediately expressive of black currants, tar, coffee, clove and cinnamon. It is a full-bodied wine which is round on the palate, with medium fine-grained tannins, well-integrated oak and well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%). The flavors mirror the nose and the solid middle palate leads to a medium-length, smooth finish. I WILL AGAIN say that Levendi does not simply put ordinary wine into its gorgeous bottles...the beauty is backed up by the "brains"! Drink now-12/22.
