Sunday, July 14, 2013 - With the warm summer weather it has been awhile since I had a decent bottle of wine with all the parties and magnums of fun wines meant for non-serious drinking. It's all good though but we finally had a quiet Sunday night on the lake so I reached for a nice Cali-cab and it was really singing. Perfect ripe fruit, classic notes of cassis and bit of cedar and velvet smooth tannins. Did a 1/2 hour decant and chilled a bit to handle the 88 deg heat on the boat. Great QPR at $33 from Wine Access and glad I have two left.
