Tuesday, February 2, 2016 - This deep-to-opaque ruby wine is effusive of dark bramble fruit, smoked meat, anise and mineral aromas. On the palate, it is full-bodied, freshly acidic and lusciously filled with flavors mirroring the nose. The medium-weight tannins are supple and the alcohol (listed as 13%) is beautifully integrated. Dense in the middle and accenting the flavors with restrained oak, it closes with impressive length. Absolutely gorgeous now, this is a wine that should "sing" for another five years (or more). Drink now-2021.
