Thursday, January 4, 2024 - Really nice and mature Barbaresco. Visited winery and tried 2019, so much power and grip but this one , almost 16 years later is really something else. So mature and developed. Decanted 2-8 hours. Deep with fig notes , dried cherry/raisins, mushroom like feeling, truffles , Smoky woodyness. Just amazing to drink now. Fruit is starting to faint a bit. Soft tannins but still holding. Could go 5 more years but why wait? So good right now. This beats many barolos after 20 years. So deep and powerful flavours. Lingering on your mouth minutes after your sip. Enjoy! 94-95 p.
