Tuesday, April 3, 2012 - Sponsored tasting at Alois Lageder’s “Ansitz Löwengang”: The wine was bottled only one month ago, so it had probably not fully settled from bottling yet. On the nose the wine was reductive at first, but the awkward smell blew off after a few minutes, giving way to young red fruits, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, and a touch of sulphur. On the palate the wine was light-bodied, with red fruit flavours, cherry, strawberry, high acidity and medium length.
