Saturday, October 17, 2020 - 1st of 2 bottles, enjoyed a few glasses at a time, over 3 days.
At 12.8% abv, this wine shows a transparency that is not often noted with the Syrah grape, particularly in Calif.
Vegetal, medicinal, spicy, charcoal and ripe plum pie, with tension and bite reminiscent of orange zest.
Med+ to full bodied, with beautiful flavor intensity alongside earthy notes and minerality.
The finish is long and refreshing, I lean to Northern Rhone again and again while tasting this wine.
Lovely rendition, drinking beautifully now and will likely do so through the late 2020's. Delicious.
