Tuesday, June 25, 2013 - Deep ruby core fading to pinkish rim. The nose is a bit muted and the alcohol seems to stick out a bit at first. Granted the wine is still very young. It took a while to open in my glass. Dusty dark fruits, e.g. blackberry, some herbaceous notes (but not greenness), gravel. On the palate, tight tannins, medium plus acidity, hint of diary note. Medium (plus) finish with notes of cocoa powder. Quite good for this iffy vintage.
