Monday, April 24, 2017 - Lovely old left bank nose - wafts of tobacco smoke, wet leaves and cedar wood drifting amidst a core of dark berries and cassis. The palate had a cool reserve to it, with a chewy acidity and fine but really firm tannins forming a structured backdrop for clean, clear flavours of dark berries and cassis, all absolutely infused with earthy, powdery tobacco leaf as it moved into a nicely full finish. Not the strongest wine, but again very enjoyable indeed. Drinking well now.
