Wednesday, August 21, 2013 - From a 20-year old bottle that I bought at a hoarder/cat lady's moving sale. Had I tasted this blind I would have guessed a mature vintage champagne. This was layered, frisky, and vibrant, flaunting a deep, butterscotch appearance, a tiny bead, and a small layer of foam. Musty, nutty notes of lemon citrus, apricots, toffee, apples, loquats, toast, baking spices, and touches of yeast and vanilla. Finishes with vivid flavors and lip smacking acidity. A solid sparkler that was crisp, dry, tactile, complex, and clearly mature but damn it was good!
