Tuesday, April 1, 2014 - Working with wine 2014 seminar 1 - Rhone varieties (Sofitel, Sydney): Medium plus aromas of black pepper and spice, black berry fruit, thick scented without being overtly concentrated, slight horse shit aromas, graphite/crushed rock, brooding. On the palate the wine is thick with graphite, black pepper and thick, chewy tannin, black berry and plum notes but savoury. Very long finish. Weighty, chunky, full on but impeccably balanced. Superb but vinfanticide.
