Saturday, November 26, 2022 - Piemonte: Back to the truffling!; 11/24/2022-12/3/2022 (Wineries and various restaurants): Old champagne can be very divisive in how people experience - you can love it, you can think it’s interesting, you can despise it with a vengeance. I happen to be in the first category so I don’t really mind if the wine is a ‘still wine from France’. It was a bit musty at the beginning but that blew off and then you get this old caramelized slightly sweet wine that is very interesting and when paired with cheese and bread was just kindof awesome. So no, there are no more bubbles left and yet I think there are people who will absolutely hate this wine but for me it was fun and delicious and a nice way to start a really charming afternoon with some new friends.
