Sunday, May 21, 2023 - "Only for Sundays" (Chicago, IL): Pretty much my platonic ideal of a bottle of nebbiolo. Clean without any muddled notes, red fruit that's ripe but with plenty of acid, silky tannins, fruit- and floral perfume. This has it all. It still drinks a little primary right now, but that's not hiding the fact that this is a fantastic expression of nebbiolo already. It's hard to justify letting this rest in the cellar.

5/22/2023 6:42:00 AM - I share your love for Vajra BdV! They have the magic touch for producing old school Barolo without having to suffer 10 plus years of punishing tannins. Kind of like opening a Mugnier Chambolle early, middle or down the road. Always rewarding! And, not break the bank expensive, yet. Happy to own 8 vintages myself.
Cheers
