Saturday, September 3, 2016 - Gorgeous aromatics of mint, dark red fruit, spices, and licorice. The mint gains prominence with air, joined by aromas of fresh violet. A racy palate; dense and full of flavor, but lifted by strong acidity that gives the wine good structure. A slightly sweet and drying cherry flavor coats the entire palate. With more air, the violets and even darker fruits come out and the weight of the wine shows itself. This note doesn’t do the bottle justice. Rated 2 on a scale of -1 to 3.
