Wednesday, October 30, 2013 - Even better with a little age on it, I think this surpases any domestic SB available for the vintage (except maybe the single vineyard Capture). Luscious grapefruit, guava, papaya and fantastic texture and harmony. Very long and complex finish with precision and fullness. A dichotomy of crisp and smooth with more of an Old World elegance than what usually comes out of California. 5+12+18+8 = 93

10/31/2013 9:53:00 AM - I should qualify my statement a little by saying that I've only tried the Merry Edwards, Cakebread, and a couple of others from 2011 and I prefer the Capture. Sadly, this was my last 2011 Tradition but I do have Les Pionierres and 2012 Tradition waiting in the wings. So far, my experience with Capture is there isn't a dog in the entire lineup. Happy to pop one anytime you're around, Robert. Even if it doesn't fit the theme of the next tasting ;)

10/31/2013 1:05:00 PM - Sounds great...if you supply the Capture I'll try to find the Dragonette. Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to make the 11/9 event...bummed!
