Friday, October 17, 2014 - 2014 New York Wine Experience Trip; 10/14/2014-10/21/2014 (New York City, NY): While most great Barolos tend to be "masculine" and require significant time in the cellar, this gem is a sexy "feminine" version of the Nebbiolo grape. The human analogy would be a gorgeous woman in an evening gown. Red currants, cola, violets, lavender and loamy earth are found on the nose and palate of this medium ruby-colored wine. Medium-bodied and with nice acidity, it weaves its alcohol and medium-weight, silky tannins nicely into its structure. Solid in the middle and closing with impressive length, this is about as hedonistic as young Barolo can get! Enjoy this unusual offering over the next 10-15 years. Drink now-2029.
