Monday, May 25, 2015 - Medium dark ruby to magenta. Noticeably viscous. Explosive full throttle blackberry jam, like typical paso turned up to 11. Like a chocolate covered dried blueberry with perfumes of molten pie crust and compote. Taste is polished and professional, maybe a touch too jammy, but held in check by elegant winemaking. Finish lasts and coats and leaves you wanting more with dazzling acids. Very smooth, perhaps drinking at prime. An excellent effort from Linne, reminder why west Paso is the king of Zinfandel.
