Friday, June 27, 2014 - Light color, clear at edges, nose of forest floor and with a little sour cherry in the background, slight funkiness blew off to more cherry and then rasberry on nose after fifteen minutes. Bright cranberry and pomegranate with good energy, med+ acid and fine tannins that balance things out nicely. The tannin level and the subsequent lack of jamminess is what makes this wine distinctive at this price point for me. Tart rasberry carries through on finish. Very elegant for the price. 2011 Les Voisin yesterday had more complexity but seems a little more disjointed at this stage than Tous Ensemble. Both are select few wines I would drink at this price.
