Friday, June 5, 2015 - If served blind, I may have misidentified this as a Northern Rhone. With wild animal fur and chicken feather notes on the nose, it is very old world in style. Palate is crisp and light with cranberries, gooseberries, cabbage, game, and gentle spices.
This would be great with white meat dishes. It is a wine with high acidity and some austerity. It’s not for everyone.
