Monday, August 4, 2014 - A year since the last bottle. for a fizz over a decade old, it still tastes 'young' with plenty of fruit. Yet more complexity but not the yeastiness you get with champagne. Absolutely brilliant.

8/4/2014 11:16:00 PM - I'm a relative latecomer to Nyetimber so the 2003 is the earliest vintage for me. Like so many people, I now have much respect for English fizz. When we tried different ones a few years ago, Nyetimber was the most consistent and came out top. There's a lot more now. I have just been given a Coldharbour and Stopham Estate Brut Prestige, both from West Sussex. Couldn't even find them on cellartracker and had to create new wine entries. The Stopham Estate one is 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Blanc. The Coldharbour is Pinot Noir, Pinot Meurnier and Chardonnay. Should be interesting.
